What We Do Not Engage In

Clear Boundaries by Category

Finova operates within a defined scope of engagement.

To avoid misalignment and wasted effort, it is important to be explicit about the areas we do not engage in as a matter of course.

These boundaries reflect how Finova operates — not a judgement on the merit or legitimacy of any market or asset class.

The categories below are indicative and not exhaustive.

Residential Property

Finova does not act as a property broker or agent for standard residential property.

This includes:

  • individual homes or apartments, and
  • conventionally marketed residential real estate.

However, Finova may support clients in the acquisition or disposal of unique, high-value, or strategically significant properties where such assets fall outside conventional residential brokerage and align with our broader engagement model.

Commercial Property

Finova does not operate as a commercial property broker or agent.

Routine commercial property transactions, standard leasing activity, and openly marketed commercial assets fall outside our scope.

As with residential property, Finova may engage in exceptional or non-standard property contexts where the asset is unique, strategically significant, or forms part of a wider asset or transaction context.

Commodity Sub-Categories

Finova does not engage in:

  • agricultural or soft commodities, or
  • non-physical commodity instruments such as futures, options, or other purely financial derivatives.

Our engagement in commodities is limited to physical assets in non-retail, off-market, or strategically structured contexts where governance, verification, and jurisdictional considerations are central.

Business Sales and Brokerage

Finova does not provide business brokerage services.

This includes:

  • small or mid-sized business sales,
  • lifestyle business acquisitions, and
  • conventional buy-sell brokerage activity.

Engagement with businesses is limited to strategic, non-retail, or special-situation contexts, and does not extend to general business sales activity.

Retail and Exchange-Traded Investment Opportunities

Finova does not engage in:

  • retail investment products,
  • exchange-traded securities or commodities, or
  • publicly marketed investment opportunities.

Our focus is on discreet, off-market, or structured contexts rather than open or retail investment environments.

Vehicles and Consumer Assets

Finova does not engage in assets that are readily acquired through standard retail or showroom channels.

This includes:

  • consumer vehicles, and
  • mass-market or readily available assets.

Engagement with vehicles or transport assets is limited to high-value, specialist, or non-standard contexts, often involving cross-border, ownership, or structuring considerations.

Not Exhaustive

The categories above are not intended to be exhaustive.

They are designed to:

  • provide practical clarity,
  • set expectations early, and
  • reduce misaligned enquiries.

Where an enquiry falls outside Finova’s scope, this is communicated clearly and without delay.

Context Matters

Finova recognises that some situations do not fit neatly into predefined categories.

Where an asset or opportunity is exceptional, unique, or strategically significant, and aligns with Finova’s operating principles, it may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

However, such consideration should not be assumed.

Focused Engagement

Finova’s objective is disciplined engagement, not breadth for its own sake.

Where alignment exists, we engage thoughtfully.

Where it does not, clarity is provided early — in the interest of all parties.
