Please do not send sensitive documents or personal data through a general enquiry unless Finova has requested them and provided an appropriate method for transmission.
How We Use Personal Data
We may use personal data to:
- respond to enquiries and assess whether an engagement is appropriate;
- verify identity, authority, role, capability and counterparty information;

Lawful Bases
We process personal data only where there is a legitimate purpose and an appropriate lawful basis. Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, this may include your consent, taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement, performing an agreement, complying with legal or regulatory obligations, and pursuing legitimate business interests that do not override your rights.
Sharing Personal Data
We do not sell personal data. We may share it only where reasonably necessary with:
- Finova personnel, operating units and authorised representatives who need the information;
- professional advisers, compliance and verification providers, technology providers and other service providers subject to appropriate safeguards;

International Transfers
Finova operates in international markets and personal data may be processed in countries other than the country in which it was collected. We approach international transfers cautiously and use appropriate contractual, organisational or other safeguards where required by applicable law.
Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet applicable legal, regulatory, contractual, security and record-management requirements. Retention periods vary according to the nature and sensitivity of the information. When information is no longer required, it is securely deleted, anonymised or otherwise put beyond use where appropriate.
Security
We apply proportionate technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal data from unauthorised access, loss, alteration, disclosure or misuse. Access is restricted on a need-to-know basis. No internet or storage system is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Your Rights
Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate information, erasure, restriction or objection to processing, portability, or withdrawal of consent. These rights may be subject to legal limitations, identity verification and Finova’s legitimate retention obligations.
To exercise a privacy right or raise a concern, use the dedicated compliance reporting form. We will respond as promptly as reasonably possible and within any period required by applicable law.
