Construction Materials and Equipment

Project-Led, Structured Engagement

Finova’s engagement in construction materials and equipment is focused on major construction and infrastructure projects where scale, logistics, timing, and coordination are critical.

This is not general trading, retail supply, or ad-hoc procurement.

Engagement is structured around defined project requirements and delivered in a disciplined, governance-led manner.

Scope of Engagement

Finova supports construction-related engagement across two closely related areas:

  • strategic procurement of major materials and assets, and
  • structured sourcing and supply coordination for ongoing project needs.

Engagement is typically characterised by:

  • large, complex, or multi-phase projects,
  • sustained delivery programmes over extended timeframes, and
  • coordination across jurisdictions, suppliers, and logistics chains.

Major Construction Materials and Strategic Procurement

For major construction projects, Finova may support the procurement of primary materials and assets where scale and coordination are material.

This may include, for example:

  • modular site accommodation, including site offices and workforce accommodation,
  • structural steel and steel systems,
  • concrete and concrete-related supply,
  • precast concrete elements,
  • façade and envelope systems, and
  • other large-scale construction materials with significant logistical, sequencing, or scheduling impact.

Finova’s role in these contexts is to:

  • support definition of procurement requirements,
  • assist in identifying suitable supply sources, and
  • help structure engagement to align delivery, timing, and governance expectations.

Ongoing Project Supply and Operational Procurement

For day-to-day construction requirements, such as:

  • cables, pipes, fittings, and components,
  • consumables and routine materials, and
  • equipment and supplies required to support continuous site operations,

Finova works with a specialist partner organisation that:

  • establishes, operates, and maintains a dedicated sourcing and procurement function,
  • manages supplier relationships and availability, and
  • ensures materials, equipment, and consumables are available in the right place, at the right time.

This partner-supported model provides operational continuity while allowing Finova to remain focused on structured, high-level engagement.

Plant, Machinery, and Construction Equipment

Finova’s engagement with plant and construction equipment is focused on major, mega, or giga projects where the requirement is to define, source, and assemble significant fleets of equipment, rather than individual or one-off purchases.

This may include assets such as:

  • cranes and lifting systems,
  • trucks and heavy transport vehicles,
  • loaders and earthmoving equipment,
  • batching plants and material processing facilities, and
  • other large-scale plant required to support sustained project execution.

In these contexts, Finova works with clients to:

  • define fleet-scale technical and operational requirements,
  • identify suitable global sourcing options, and
  • support structured, lawful procurement aligned with project timelines and delivery strategies.

Partner-Supported Delivery

Across construction materials and equipment, Finova operates within a partner-supported model where appropriate.

Specialist partners may be involved in:

  • operational procurement,
  • logistics and delivery coordination, or
  • project and programme management.

Finova does not position itself as a construction contractor, supplier, or equipment rental business.

What This is Not

To avoid misalignment, it is important to be clear about what Finova does not do in this area.

Finova does not:

  • act as a retail supplier of construction materials,
  • operate as a construction contractor or subcontractor,
  • provide equipment hire or rental services, or
  • engage in small-scale or ad-hoc procurement activity.

Indicative, Not Exhaustive

The above is indicative of Finova’s engagement in construction materials and equipment rather than exhaustive.

Exceptional or non-standard project contexts may be considered on a case-by-case basis where alignment clearly exists. Such consideration should not be assumed.

Clarity First

Construction projects succeed or fail on coordination, timing, and execution.

Where alignment exists, engagement proceeds thoughtfully.

Where it does not, clarity is provided early.
